Subjects Indexed: I can index most subjects at a general level, and have experience of indexing in several specialist areas. I am particularly interested in biography and local history texts, and also keen to work on more life sciences and biology indexes. Background: For my joint honours degree in education and librarianship I also studied aspects of psychology and sociology. I have biology, chemistry and maths A levels. I am a qualified librarian and previously worked in public and special libraries for over 20 years; this included responsibility for local history collections, and indexing some research papers related to the coming of the railway to the area. Qualifications: I achieved Accreditation as an indexer in 1999, and Fellowship of the Society in March 2006.
I am also a tutor for the SI "Training in indexing" course and currently execute the roles of Director for Training, and Chair of the Training Course Committee for the Society of Indexers. Interests: I enjoy going to the theatre, walking and cycling. I love singing and I'm a member of Milton Keynes Chorale.
